Inducted in 1986, W. Calvin Falwell, a successful Virginia businessman, has been a long time supporter of aviation in Virginia. He became president of Falwell Aviation, Inc. of Lynchburg, which operates the Falwell Airport. He is active in a number of civic and aviation organizations and was cited continuously for his service to the aerospace community during his long career. He has served on the Virginia Advisory Committee on Aviation, the Dulles International Airport Development Commission, the Virginia Aviation Safety Board, and the Board of Directors of the Virginia Aeronautical Historical Society.
