Local Chapters

Local Chapters were established to encourage greater statewide participation in the mission of the society. These chapters provide a focal point for aviation enthusiasts to share their love of aviation, and promote aviation and Virginia’s rich aeronautical history within local communities.

Williamsburg

September Update

Buz Rich, one of our chapter’s founding members and its first vice-president, reported on
aircraft displayed at the 2009 EAA AirVenture fly-in. His photos of significant and unusual aircraft attending were accompanied both by his knowledgeable commentary as well as audience input. Most of us learned more from Buz’s account than if we had been
there ourselves.

Airborne and Special Operations Museum Trip
A group of chapter members will travel to Fayetteville, NC on September 30th and visit the Airborne and Special Operations Museum there of the morning of October 1st.

Williamsburg has a small airport with direct flights from points up and down the east coast. Richmond's and Norfolk's airport are just an hour away with even more flights. There's a full conference going on around the BloggerCon with over 20 hours of CE, so there are multiple reasons to attend.
