Margaret Ann Hamilton Tunner was born in Enid, Oklahoma,
on September 3, 1917. Her first airplane ride was in a bi-wing

strip named Woodward Field in Enid, Oklahoma, she
experienced the thrill of spins and stalls and wasn’t certain she
wanted to fly again.
